Us
Bookaburra is a specialist children's bookseller. Its retail outlet is at Forum The Shopping Mall, and it also runs regular book fairs in the local and international schools. Bookaburra began in 1994 as a small home-run business. The name is derived from the name of an Australian bird called the kookaburra, well-known for its raucous laughter that echoes through the bush. The owners are two Australians who have lived in Singapore for over 20 years, and felt the need for a wider selection of children's books, particularly the fine range from Australian publishers, to be made available here. ... We believe that good books are as necessary to a child's emotional and intellectual development as nutritious food is to his physical development. With this in mind, our aim is to make available the best in children's books and related products, and to do so in a spirit of service. |

Storytelling
Wednesdays and Fridays are our regular storytelling afternoons. Come and join Bookaburra's own storyteller, Siti, on Wednesdays and Fridays at 4 p.m. Loads of fun with stories, interactive activities and a craft to take home and all for only $5 per child.
